Aldar Properties looking to create 1,000 new jobs for Emiratis by 2026

Abu Dhabi-based real estate giant Aldar Properties PJSC is reportedly planning to recruit at least 1,000 Emiratis by 2026. The motive is driven by the “Projects of the 50” initiative launched by government the previous month which aims to ensure the entry of 75,000 citizens to the private sector in the next five years.

Aldar Properties is also likely to add around 200 jobs each year across several subsidiaries and partner companies until 2026 to increase employment opportunities for its citizens. This initiative will also head towards providing citizens with lucrative career opportunities in roles associated with investment and development management, education, hospitality, and retail among others.

Confirming the news, Talal Al Dhiyebi, Chief Executive Officer at Aldar Properties stated that the firm is committed to offer the upcoming generation of Emirati talents a golden opportunity to form their careers in a business with high ambition, a solid probability graph, and diverse interests.

Through this initiative, the company can deliver its purpose as a responsible organization and a contributor towards the development of the nation’s economy, the CEO added.

Around 33.5% of Aldar’s working force are Emiratis with over 100 citizens joining the firm in the last two years. These employees have been recruited for various departments like information technology, strategy and transformation, investment finance, marketing and communications, portfolio, and procurement.

It is worth noting here that the real estate and investment major has recorded an increase of 7.6% in its second-quarter profit to USD 141.59 million.  Besides, Aldar Properties has also registered a revenue jump of 9% in the same period.

The firm also completed the sales of all homes at Magnolia, which was announced earlier this month, garnering significant gains. Aldar hopes to introduce five new projects by the end of this year on Saadiyat, Reem, and Yas Islands with an aim to equal or exceed its 2020 sales of USD 980 million (Dh 3.6bn).
