Athonet establishes 5G lab for financial institutions to revamp businesses

Athonet, a leading international private network technology has announced the launch of its Fintech 5G laboratory in the center of London’s financial district. The launch will help financial institutions, banks, hedge funds, and their technology collaborators develop, discover, and integrate extremely safe 5G technology into their operations, businesses, and products.

Nanda Menon, Chief Executive Officer, Athonet United Kingdom stated that financial institutions want to evolve and transform their business ways to include wireless technology but are facing umpteen security threats.

Nanda mentioned that with the world’s transition to wireless only from wireless first, private 5G with their SIM-centric technology can offer enhanced security as compared to the conventional wireless LAN services while also embracing the latest prospects.  

It has been reported that the Athonet 5G lab is also likely to demonstrate the ways in which the financial institutions can relish the wireless freedom with the performance and security the organizations expect.

According to reports, along with 5G, teams and trading floors can embrace low latency wireless technology with transform workflows, SIM-centric authentication, and customer engagement via VR and AR.

Athonet, via its partners is also providing a SecuriCell, a 5G kit for fintech firms to test the performance and security of the Athonet 5G core. SecuriCell comprises of all the components required to position a security private 5G cellular network comprising of SIM cards, 5G core, server, 5G smartphone, antenna, radio, or cell and 5G CPE shipped in a rugged case.

The kit comes with a 36-month license, VoNR support, professional services, and software upgrade and maintenance.
