FBR Australia and MOEI to partner on construction robotics technology

FBR Australia, world’s first leading automated construction robotic technology firm, has reportedly signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with UAE’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.

As per sources, the Ministry and FBR are looking forward to partnering, exchanging information, and conjoining in relation to the application of smart support systems, modern building methods, and various other construction technologies in the construction and housing department of the UAE, with main emphasis on Hadrian X and its output to the region.

Under the MoU, the Ministry and FBR will look out for prospects for the adoption and introduction of FBR’s solutions, robotic construction technology, and services to explore the potential for regional manufacturing and the construction sector in UAE.

Mike Pivac, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at FBR, stated that the MoU retells FBR’s pledge to the GCC region by creating framework for cooperation with the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.

Mike mentioned that the Ministry and FBR also seek to partner on the demonstration of the effectiveness and utility of the Hadrian X as well as various robotic technologies to wide range of stakeholders across the United Arab Emirates by the execution of pilot building programs in the UAE or Australia.

According to reports, the Ministry and FBR will complete a feasibility study of the Hadrian X in the UAE’s construction sector with a vision of Ministry becoming an early user of the Hadrian X in the country. Apparently, this feasibility study process will anticipatedly take around 12 months.

Naseebah Al Marzooqi, Director of Research, Studies and Development at Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, stated that one of the targets of the Ministry is to support the United Arab Emirate’s leadership position in the infrastructure sector.

He added that their aim is to keep human well being and innovation at the heart of their work and the collaboration depicts how technology can serve the well being in the housing sector.
