Hero Electric & Jio-bp partner to drive electric 2-wheeler adoption

India’s leading electric scooter company, Hero Electric, is reportedly all set to partner with Jio-bp, a joint venture of Reliance Industries and bp, to reinforce mobility solutions for electric two-wheelers.

Through this partnership, Hero Electric customers will be provided access to the broad charging and exchange network of Jio-bp, which is open to other vehicles also.

In addition to this, both firms will bring global learning expertise in electrification and can apply them to the Indian market to provide a unique customer experience.

At present, Jio-bp is running its swapping and EV charging stations under the brand Jio-bp pulse.

It has been reported that using the Jio-bp pulse app, the customers can find nearby charging stations easily and charge their electric vehicles.

With a vision of becoming a leader in the EV industry in India, Jio-bp is planning to develop an electric mobility ecosystem that will benefit all the stakeholders in the EV value chain.

Meanwhile, Hero intends to offer the best electric mobility solutions to its customers, and this alliance will drive EV growth in the nation whilst consolidating the long-term vision of Hero Electric to revolutionize the e-mobility sector in India.

For the uninitiated, Reliance BP (RMBL) Mobility, a joint venture between Reliance Industries and bp, will operate under the brand Jio-bp.

As per official sources, the newly introduced joint venture will also utilize Reliance’s presence across the country and its millions of customers via the digital platform of Jio.

Moreover, BP brings its tremendous international experience in retail, high-quality, differentiated fuels, lubricants, and innovative low-carbon mobility solutions.

Given the market of conventional fuels, RMBL also offers innovative mobility solutions and substitute fueling options to its customers, like EV charging points and BSS (Battery Swapping Stations).
