Vi teams up with Firework to introduce short stories on its Play app

With movies, short stories, and TV series emerging as a rescue path for people amidst the ongoing pandemic situation, various entertainment as well as telecommunication companies have been laying no stone unturned to upscale the user experience. In one such scenario, Vodafone-Idea (Vi) has recently announced establishing a potential partnership with one of the world’s leading story platforms- Firework TV.

This novel collaboration has been aimed at introducing the latter’s 30 second short stories on Vi’s Play app across the Indian states now. As per official reports, the newly inked partnership would typically improve Vi’s customer experience along with bolstering Firework’s influence in India.

Moreover, it is also likely to cater to the needs of the creator community with brilliant discoverability, in a crowded content space. In addition to this, Firework would allow publishers or creators to post their videos on the open web while simultaneously boasting of the potential to amplify the videos to more than 500 publisher partners worldwide.

Speculations have it that the collaboration would also enable Vi to access Firework’s huge library of content from global content studios and also gaining access to unique OGC creators, who are professional storytellers across vivid subjects and genres.

Avneesh Khosla, CMO at Vodafone-Idea, while commenting on the recent move stated that the firm is elated to be the first Telecom company to have partnered with Firework for driving the most trending short duration videos. He added that the format has been specifically designed to interest the viewers in not more than 30 seconds across diverse interests and categories.

Vi currently offers a wide range of content from several OTT players varying across categories like Web Series, Movies, and Live TV in various languages on Vi TV and Movies app.
